They emit a plum-like aroma with a sweet rounded lively acidity and ends with a full bodied creamy caramel flavor. This coffee is so versatile and works great as an espresso and as brewed coffee. Burundi, often called the Heart of Africa, for its heart-shaped outline and its central location on the African continent, produces extraordinary complexed coffees which are often underestimated. The Bourbon variety is known for its great body and sweetness.
